How the matching works
Hard limits first: a trike is dropped entirely if your height falls outside its published rider-height range, your weight exceeds its published limits, it doesn't fold when you need it to, or it busts the budget. What's left gets scored on the things that change the daily ride — motor class and torque-sensor assist for hills, tire width for rough surfaces, fold size and weight for transport, hydraulic brakes, watt-hours per dollar, and published UL certification.
One honesty note baked into the logic: brands advertise "max load" as rider pluscargo, and some never publish how much of it can be rider. Where a rider sub-limit exists, we enforce it; where it doesn't, the tool says so and tells you to get the answer in writing. A trike that "holds 450 lb" but can't confirm your 360 lb in the saddle is not a match — it's a maybe.
