How to read that table at your weight
Under 330 lb
Everything on the page is open to you on paper. Near 330? Note that Lectric's limit is exactly 330 — riding at a spec's edge every day isn't where you want to live. The 450 lb Mooncools and the Grandtan give you margin, and margin is comfort.
330–380 lb
Lectric is out (330 rider max — respect it; it's also what a warranty claim will cite). The Addmotor Grandtan's explicit 350 lb rider limit covers the bottom of this range with real paperwork. Above 350, you're into the Mooncool 450 lb-total models (TK2, TK Pro, TK2 PRO) — genuinely promising numbers, but the rider split is unpublished, so send the email below and order only on a written answer.
Over 380 lb
We won't dress this up: no trike we track publishes a rider limit that clearly covers you, and "450 lb total" minus a basket of groceries is cutting it close. Options that respect both you and physics: get a written rider-limit answer from Mooncool or Addmotor before spending anything; look at heavy-duty non-folding trikes in the specialty market (a class we haven't vetted yet — when we do, it'll be here); and treat any brand that won't answer the question as the answer.

A brand with good engineering answers in one reply. Silence or a copy-paste of the marketing number tells you everything.
Beyond the limit: the specs that carry weight well
- Torque, not watts. Moving more mass from a stop is torque's job: 85–90 Nm (the 750W models here) versus 45–65 Nm makes the difference between pulling away smoothly and lurching.
- Hydraulic brakes are non-negotiable. Stopping distance grows with total mass; hydraulic discs with 180 mm rotors are the floor. (One model on this page has mechanical discs — we'd pass at these weights.)
- Wider tires, right pressure. 3–4" tires at the upper end of their pressure range carry load without the squirm and rim-strike risk of narrow rubber.
- Watt-hours disappear faster. Range claims assume a light rider. At 350 lb, budget half the headline number and be happy when you beat it — or buy the bigger battery up front (960 Wh options exist at $1,699).
